Saturday night was the 1st annual ZULU 5K race held at the ZULU den on Broad street. The race started at 6:00 and I decided to do it at 5:15, last min. decision but a good one!

The race itself was a bit warm, OK it was freaking HOT. I could feel the heat coming off of my skin, not to mention the route was a bit questionable, as in, not marked so a few turns we kind of guessed on.
There were a few of us out there representing Catch 22, Kelley and Sean came in 1st and Doug and myself in second with Axn placing in his age group. Santilla and Patrick came out as spectators as well as Doug's wife Jennifer and Sean's mom.
The after party was a great time, good music, dancing, red beans, watermelon and beer. Not to mention the awards were awesome, hand painted ZULU coconuts! This one will def. be on my calender next year.
